Terms of service
Between Collabico Canada Inc. (“SealDrop”) and the organization named in its account (“the Customer”).
- The service. SealDrop provides secure links for people to upload files and fill in the Customer’s forms, a staff portal to download them, and automatic deletion. It is not a records system: the Customer files what it needs into its own systems.
- Accounts. The Customer’s admins create staff accounts and keep them current. Each person uses their own account with two-step sign-in; shared logins are not allowed.
- The Customer’s responsibilities. The Customer decides what to collect and why, has the authority or consent to contact each person by email or text, writes its own form and message wording, checks contact details before sending, files what it needs before automatic deletion, and answers access and correction requests.
- Data processing agreement. The data processing agreement signed with each Customer forms part of these terms and prevails on privacy and security.
- Acceptable use. No marketing messages, no messages to people the Customer has no relationship with, no attempts to break, overload or get around the service’s limits.
- Limits. PDF, JPG, PNG and HEIC files up to 20 MB, 10 files per link, and about 6 GB per Customer per day. Texts on plans that include them, with the fair-use allowance shown on the pricing page.
- Fees. As shown on the pricing page or agreed in writing, per user, in Canadian dollars plus applicable taxes.
- Availability and support. SealDrop aims to keep the service available and to answer support requests within one business day.
- Suspension. SealDrop may pause a Customer’s staff access for non-payment or a security risk, with notice when possible. Links already sent keep working while paused.
- Ending. Either party may end these terms with 30 days’ notice. Ending starts a 35-day window in which the Customer’s staff can still sign in to export its requests, audit log and files. Then SealDrop permanently deletes all Customer data and emails a deletion confirmation.
- Law. British Columbia law; courts in British Columbia.
